Albus Dumbledore: Headmaster of Hogwarts. Minerva McGonagall: Transfiguration professor and Deputy Headmistress. Severus Snape: Potions Master and later Headmaster. Rubeus Hagrid: Keeper of Keys and Grounds; later Care of Magical Creatures professor. Gilderoy Lockhart: Defense Against the Dark Arts professor (Year 2). Arthur Weasley: Patriarch of the Weasley family, works at the Ministry of Magic. Molly Weasley: Matriarch, known for her warmth and fierce protection of her family. Bill Weasley: Curse-breaker for Gringotts. Charlie Weasley: Works with dragons in Romania. Percy Weasley: Ambitious, works at the Ministry. Fred and George Weasley: Mischievous twins, founders of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Ginny Weasley: Ron’s younger sister, later Harry’s love interest.
The Order of the Phoenix
Sirius Black: Harry’s godfather. Lupin: (also part of the Order). Mad-Eye Moody: Auror, known for his vigilance. Nymphadora Tonks: Young Auror, known for her Metamorphmagus abilities. Kingsley Shacklebolt: Auror, later Minister for Magic. Aberforth Dumbledore: Albus’s brother.
The Death Eaters
Voldemort (Tom Riddle): The main antagonist. Bellatrix Lestrange: Loyal Death Eater. Lucius Malfoy: Wealthy Death Eater and Draco’s father. Narcissa Malfoy: Draco’s mother, not a Death Eater but loyal to her family. Peter Pettigrew: Betrayer of Harry’s parents. Fenrir Greyback: Werewolf allied with Voldemort.

Draco Malfoy: Harry’s rival at school. Neville Longbottom: Loyal friend of Harry, later hero in the battle against Voldemort. Luna Lovegood: Eccentric Ravenclaw student and Harry’s friend. Cedric Diggory: Hufflepuff student and Triwizard champion. Cho Chang: Harry’s first crush. Dean Thomas: Gryffindor student. Seamus Finnigan: Harry’s Gryffindor classmate. Lavender Brown: Gryffindor student, briefly Ron’s girlfriend. Parvati Patil: Gryffindor student, attended Yule Ball with Harry.
